In the tunnel.

IN THE TUNNEL.

This is my in the tunnel part 1 story!

Samantha.

The water splashed on my heels as I sat on the rocks watching the waterfall crash down on the innocently glistening waters bellow.

My friends are jumping around me playing tag and encouraging me to join in, I ignore them, watching the water where cute eels are poking their tiny heads in and out making tiny ripple in the soft still waters away from the thunders of the thumping waterfall.

As my friends headed off to explore the bush I slid my slim body off the rocks and into the crystal clear water. I swam towards the waterfall and behind it I saw that where there should have been rocks there was a tunnel, not a big tunnel like in movies but a small tunnel that looked about the right size for me to slither through! I took the chance and swam forward, as I swam through the waterfall the saltwater stung my sparkly sapphire eyes. I wiped them clear then swan into the tunnel, it’s walls glistened with diamonds of all colours as I got further into the tunnel it got bigger and bigger until it was big enough to stand in! As I walked along the tunnel my bright turquoise togs started snagging on the branches and roots growing out of the walls. I unsnagged them and keep walking, suddenly I tripped over a root and fell to the floor slamming my head down hard. When I finally opened my eyes again the whole world swam before my eyes finally settling down, I was in a little cave there was a pile of fresh girl clothes on the floor suspiciously I picked them up and put them on.

I could hear water pounding on top of the den I must be under it, I walked around the cave looking for a way out, there didn't seem to be one! Just then the roof opened and a woman with a little girl of round about 10 entered. “What were you doing out there?” the women rang high and shrill “You could have been killed!” “I..I..I didn’t know!” I stammered “Everybody knows it's dangerous out there don’t you know anything!” the little girl spoke softly but with a determination to get her point across. I stared at the woman waiting for her to tell her child that it was to say that, when she didn’t I filled in the silence with a question “What is dangerous out there?”. The woman turned completely ignoring my question, she started walking to the far wall then turned around “You girl what's your name?” she shot the question at me like a bullet “I ah” I stumbled over the words before finally blurting them out “ Matilda.” “Well Matilda you can sleep with Ellie in here.” She lent on the wall and it swung outwards to reveal a small sleeping cabin. As we walked into the small room the door swung shut with a “BANG!” and a dingy purple light flickered on. “Sorry about Olivia.” I jumped as the little girl's low voice echoed about the room, “ She had a hard time before she came here, but well she's got me and now you!” I was confused about the statement until Ellie excitedly added “It’s so good to have another child here! Especially a new sis!” I laughed, this girl thought I was going to stay. “Sorry to break your bubble Ellie but I can’t stay. I've got to get back to the waterfall and my friends!”
